Can't run unit on a circuit with a GFCI output
I purchased this unit for an apartment and found it kept tripping a GFCI outlet on the same circuit either immediately or when the compressor tried to turn on. Support tells me that since it has a GFCI in the plug (not sure it's really GFCI, may be LCDI), that it will always trip a GFCI outlet if there's one on the circuit. All circuits have one in the apartment so this unit is unusable.

Terrible customer service
Just received this unit yesterday. Keep getting the P1 "water level full" indicator light and drain the water then it comes back within 30 minutes. The information booklet says to call for service if this happens. I called and was told this was a defective unit and there's nothing they can do. After lugging this unit to my second floor apartment on my own and spending two hours setting it up I'm left with a unit that doesn't work. I got rid of the packaging because I expected a unit to work. Not sure how Im going to get the unit back to a store on my own or if there will even be more units available. They will sell you a defective unit and then leave you out to dry. Recommend looking into other brands to buy from.

Works great for me
Quietest than any portable AC I've had, and cools much better than my previous units. Love that the compressor and exhaust fan ramps down in low mode for whisper operation. It does have a bit of a high pitch whine from the inverter that may be annoying to some in low mode. It's fine for me. Installed into a patio door. Included hardware wasn't long enough so I had to to fab up a cover. My only complaint is the tube being so bulky with the horizontal adapter that it butts up against the frame of the door. Wish Midea would provide an extension piece or more options on mounting.

Great unit. Cools better than expectes
Great air conditioner. Easy install and easy to move around. Cools half the house (initially bought to cool main living room/dining/kitchen area) which is a bonus. Don't even need to use lowest cooling setting. This unit is awesome.

Much louder and annoying
Very loud product, louder than any window a/c I have owned. Disappointed since now I have to return it and it's very heavy.

Sounds like a jet engine
I hate this thing. Hate. Hate hate hate. Bought it because it was supposed to be the quietest available. This is awful. Louder than than the one I bought 5 years ago for half the price. Oh and it runs and runs. Set to 70 and currently icing the room over at 63. JUNK
